Best Rated Roomba Vacuums

This Roomba is one of the best irobot vacuum and mop rated vacuums available. It is the most powerful AI obstacle avoidance we've seen and a mopping system with dual rubber brushes that are less prone to tangling than bristle brushes.

It uses random navigation (or bumps) instead of the vSLAM. This takes longer but ensures that every room is cleaned. It also has a long battery life and works effectively on hardwood and carpet flooring.

1. Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO is finished in a stylish matte grey finish that appears like a fabric. This helps to reduce fingerprints. Smart mapping technology creates a map of the home with the help of advanced sensors. This allows it to clean up rooms and avoid obstacles. The irobot roomba vacuum and mop App allows you to customize your cleaning preferences and get suggestions based on the seasons, your home, and even your personal preferences. (For example it might suggest using it more often during allergy season). The robot's high-efficiency filter traps 99 percent allergens, such as dust mites, mold, dog and cat hair, and pollen. It also features a cliffand edge-sweeping sensors, four brushes (including an edge brush, two multi-surface long brushes, and two multi-surface long multi-surface brushes) and a floor tracker to ensure it stays on its intended route.

During testing, the i3+ EVO cleaned our floors quickly and efficiently. It was able to easily go from carpets to rugs, and back. It also had no trouble getting over the wooden or metal trim that separates flooring types. It did bump into some items, including bags, pet toys and shoes, but it was able to maneuver around them. It missed some dirt spots on the carpet, however it did take hair from pet hair elsewhere.

The i3+ EVO is a good choice for homes with carpets, but isn't able to picking up crumbs and other debris. It struggles to vacuum pet hair from carpets and is not the best rated roomba vacuum choice for those who wish to have their robot completely replace their vacuum cleaner. It's also not as powerful obstacles-avoidance capabilities of the top Roombas such as the j7+ or s9+, which makes it more prone to run into pet waste on flooring and spread it across.

2. Roomba j7+

This is a great robotic vacuum for people who have a mixture of carpet and hard floors. Its best feature is its obstacle detection that smartly avoids things like cords, furniture legs, and even pet dander. It is also very good in cleaning hard floors and picking up long hairs stuck in the brush.

Unlike many other robots, the Roomba J7+ is able to adjust its suction power. This can be done through the app. It also comes with an excellent map editor and a section for favorites. The j7+ is quite quiet, particularly when you have a higher-end flooring option and it does an excellent job of keeping up with manual vacuuming.

iRobot’s higher-end bots are well-known for their superior performance over their lower-end counterparts. In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ was able pick up more dirt on hard and carpeted surfaces. It also cleaned better in crevices. The only issue was that it did not perform as well in the longer human hair test that is typical of all robots.

The j7+ comes with an auto-emptying Clean Base that will automatically transfer dirt from the robot's bin to an enclosed dirt bag each time it docks. This helps reduce the need to be hands-on and is a huge benefit for anyone with allergies. The j7+ is also compatible with irobot combo Braava Jet M Series robot mop with its Imprint Link feature. It will automatically resume mopping after the vacuuming process is complete.

3. Roomba i7+

Watching the i7+ clean a room is a mesmerizing experience. It follows a pattern similar to how a lawn-care professional trims the sports field prior to an event. It will occasionally return to the dock to empty its dust bin or recharge its batteries. This self-emptying feature is an improvement over the way that most robot vacuums operate and can reduce hands-on maintenance requirements.

It also has a great amount of suction power that can pull up dirt and pet hair effortlessly. Even on high-pile carpets it is able to take care of the majority of debris with just one swipe. It is also able to identify areas with high traffic and stay there. This is particularly useful if you have kids and pets who often bring large amounts of debris from outside.

Smart Mapping is another great feature. It allows the i7+ to learn the layout of your house and create a floor plan that you can modify while it vacuums. It took four hours to fully map my two-bedroom apartment however, once it had done it was able to navigate the space logically and efficiently. The app allows you to modify the map by adding virtual boundaries or giving the rooms names. You can set the i7+ to clean the area around the cat's kitty litter tray every morning or to stay clear of the sofa in the living room after everyone has gone home.

The i7+ comes with a sidebrush as well as a tangle free spinning squeegee which are ideal for removing any debris that might otherwise fall to the ground. It also has a battery that has Recharge and Resume Technology, which allows it to take over the same place it left off during the previous cleaning session.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is an excellent entry-level robot that is ideal for anyone looking to make their home cleaner, without the advanced automation features that higher-end models offer. It learns your cleaning habits to suggest schedules, and works with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants, allowing you to start cleaning with one click and can be controlled using the irobot vacuum cleaner app.

Dual multi-surface brushes remove dirt from carpets and hard floors and the edge-sweeping one cleans edges and corners. The battery lasts for approximately 90 minutes on a single charge, and when it is low, it docks itself to the Home Base and recharges.

A large Clean/Power button sits in the middle of the top panel, with Home and Spot buttons below and above it. A battery-level indicator glows in orange when it is charging and green when the robot has enough power to run. The dustbin is inserted at the back of the robot and is released with a press of a button.

The Roomba 694 is excellent at navigating bare flooring and sucking up large debris like cereal and rice. However, it has a difficult time with smaller particles such as baking soda. It is also prone to overflow its dirt container when it is filled. It also doesn't work better on carpets with low pile, but it still gets an excellent score compared to other robot vacuums at this price.

It is great at collecting pet hair, though some hair strands could get wrapped around the side brush. Its poor performance on cat litter is a problem, although it still matched the top score of many other robots in this category and beat our most choice for value (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 costs a little more than the eufy RoboVac 30, but is more robust, requires less maintenance, has a lower costs for recurring use, charges quicker and is more effective on floors with a high pile and bare. It has a bigger bin and is able to be used without internet access.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is among the most affordable robot vacuums on the market. It's a good choice if you want a simple and reliable machine. It's able to remove pet hair, dust and other debris on both low-pile and hard floors. It also does a great job of maneuvering around obstacles and furniture. Its slim design is perfect to reach under couches with low clearance and coffee tables as well as other furniture, and it's also one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested.

But that's about it - this is one of the most pared-back models we've seen, and it's lacking certain features that are available on more expensive competitors. There's no app for it, so you'll have to manually set the schedule by using the remote control. It also doesn't offer an alarm for battery levels or a dust bin alert, so you'll need to monitor its status and manually empty it when you need to.

This model is extremely robust and easy to maintain, despite its cost. It also has a long battery life, and has good performance on floors that are bare and when maneuvering around obstacles. In our tests it was able to climb over low-lying obstructions like electrical cords better than the Roomba 694 and Shark Ion robots, but it was unable to climb over carpets with high piles.

The eufy is a superior alternative to the ONSON GOOVI. However, we suggest a higher-end model If you're able to afford it. The irobot roomba vacuum Roomba 694 has a longer battery life, is more simple to maintain and incurs lower costs for recurring use. It also performs better on unfinished floors and when moving around furniture, and comes with a much larger dustbin.
