Some models are hard to attach or remove from the base, but. The Doona Combo requires a two step attachment process, and straps which cover the bottom of the infant carrier. It's tempting to skip these steps however it could result in dangerous outcomes.

Additionally, some models are difficult to fold and put away making them less practical than other. Easy to Fold

The best combos we've tested come with a simple, one-handed fold that's compact and strong enough to be used on long strolls. They are also easy to maneuver and glide effortlessly over uneven surfaces. Some combos are attached and detached by straps. This could be a bit like a second step and could make it harder for parents to secure their car seat properly.

Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 in 1 pushchair Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored highly in our ease of use tests. Both come with a single wheel that is easy to push with just one hand. Both have a single front wheel which is easy to push (one-handed!). They also have a movable swing wheel, which is ideal for shopping and running errands. The only issue is that they're heavy and can be difficult to lift up when carrying a baby in the car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Certain car seat and stroller combinations are difficult to put together. We discovered that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the easiest to put together, and it even comes with a quick-start guide that makes putting this system together easy. Other models, including the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule urban Glide 2 and baby pram 2 in 1 Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also relatively easy to assemble. However the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo is difficult to assemble because it requires two steps - attaching the lower anchors, and using straps to cover the bottom of the carrier. It's also heavy, so it requires two hands to snap the carrier into the base and detach it from there.

In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby v2 together, which is quite fast when you consider the time it saves by not having to remove the pieces. The majority of these models come with an easy process for attaching and detaching the toddler's seat, as well.
