What is an Upgrade Item in Genshin Impact?

Upgrade items are a special kind of item that can ensure that Pokemon evolve. They are made available by spinning Pokestop photo discs and are sometimes used as rewards for events associated with evolution.

They can be added to trinkets, armors, weapons and gathering tools to increase stats or effects. Some upgrades also have an extra cosmetic effect when they are used.

Upgrade components

Glyphs

Glyphs represent a concept or idea through character symbols. For instance, a glyph can be an icon, or a drawing of a flag or heart. These symbols can be used to create a complete visual language. A glyph's shape dictates to what Primary Stats and Secondary Stats can be added. Some glyphs have both Secondary and Primary Stat bonuses, while others will have only one or the other.
