Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item are improved by upgrading it, which is also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment provides an increase in linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an indicator of the level of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can boost the effectiveness of your armor and weapons. This can be done through many different methods such as using upgrade components as well as increasing an item's mark level or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to boost their stats.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available throughout all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. The Upgrade button at the bottom will be labeled as Blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The number of upgrade components needed for a given item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of an upgrade increases depending on the upgrade level and rarity, but it can be reduced through many different methods, such as buying upgrades from a retailer or trading them to other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded with the use of a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia or rune, and many are upgraded by an upgrade suffix. These upgrades add an adjective to the name of the item, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to convey visual information. They are animated to draw the attention of the viewer and spark curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language and makes them more effective in communicating a linguistic barrier-crossing message. Glyphs also improve the likelihood of remembering a message by evoking an experience of familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph comes with a range of values that it can enhance a stat in the form of an item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This is the maximum value that a glyph could increase a stat's value by, not the amount that it actually improves it by. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier and the quality of the product you are enchanting.

Most upgrade components slotted into items are not able to be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item where the glyph is located will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be recovered by removing the glyph fragments.

If you take an item off after adding a glyph, the shards of the glyph will vanish. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to give it a bonus. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and distribute it slowly instead of all at once. This is helpful for players who suffer lots of damage from enemies, but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes they use on their equipment and weapons, and they can be obtained in various ways such as in mistery boxes or as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an affix randomly chosen and generally better than the one they had prior to. Reroll tokens are also a good option to reroll stats on weapons and can be upgraded to increase damage or other perks.

Rerolled items don't appear on the menu for item upgrades, but they can be upgraded. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item upgrader mod and also its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable to recycle than items with lower levels.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits for upgraded units. Rerolls roll the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it rolls higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

Rerolling is an excellent method to improve an item. However, players should be aware that the total ilvl is reduced by the number rerolls it took to get it to the final level. This lowering effect is most effective on Diadems and rings, which have no competing ilvl-raising options.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It would be fairer to allow people to pay for it with cash or food items that would allow players to make adjustments to their builds without having to spend too much time. However paying for rerolls is not something the developers want to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning include an option to change the race in the future.

Leveling

There are many ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The most effective method to level up an upgrade to an item is to increase the amount of upgrade. This boosts the value of upgrading the stat. The second is to increase the effect of an upgrade which increases the damage or heal of a particular stat. Finally, there is the ability to upgrade the base item to a more powerful upgrade type. After this, the new item will keep its iLevel, but will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

When you upgrade items, it is important to remember that upgrades are random. Most of the time the chance of a better roll will result from glyphs, but there are also possibilities for more or unique rolls. In addition, the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the type of item which means that should you upgrade a rare or unusual item to an extraordinary type, it could gain a higher iLevel.

Upgrading items can be costly especially when you're upgrading an item of equipment from a standard to legendary track. The price will be based on the item's base iLevel and the number of upgrade levels it comes with. Some upgrade tracks also require crests to be completed in order to move on to the next level.

If you're lucky your upgraded item will be at the highest level of its upgrade track and gain a bonus effect. This will give you a substantial boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect will vary with each upgrade level, though. In general, the upgrade effect is increased a value of +3.

The iLevel also changes according to the upgrade item path and its base level. For example an item that has been upgraded from a rare or unique item to a rare or exceptional item will have a chance to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base type of item.
