Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are an excellent way to earn gear weapons, gear and more. But they're also difficult to do.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that lets you bring pistols in to the course of. Some players utilize this slot to aid in achieving certain goals, especially those going for Suit Only. Some players utilize the extra pistol to bridge gaps. It's important to remember that in order to select the pistols that belong in this slot, you need to click on the button to select the appropriate category, for example, alternate slot 2 machine guns. Being able to have Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much simpler to accomplish. This combo will add a damage tick every 10 seconds from the concealed Weapon for as long as it is slotted.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled item slot is an excellent feature that lets players bring tools and weapons into the game, but it can be improved. It's currently designed as pistols, which makes it difficult to differentiate the smuggled item slot from other slots with free spins for gear.

The smuggle slot can be used to store a wide range of items ranging from concussion devices and weapons grade explosives to subtle concussions. These items can be found in hidden places around the map. They can also be retrieved at any time. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that conceal small items within the scenery or objects directly.

Mission planning is a feature available in episodic missions that allows players to discover different starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear high-quality slots ahead of their entry into the map. As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This allows players the ability to create the perfect mission for each challenge.

Gear Slot

Early on in the game players will notice their gear slots get full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Slots are Full" message, which blocks Max from picking new equipment until the old items are cleared or a larger space is found. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenging missions. Because many of these challenges are missed and are scattered around the globe, it might take a while to reach the maximum number fun Slots for inventory in the game.

Five Gear Slots can be filled with up to 5 different gear types, which must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except the Pistol) takes up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades of the same type) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations allow you to store items that don't fit in your weapon or gear slot, and take them out later.

These pickups are useful when your task requires you to pass through a frisk or if you have a weapon on you that could cause suspicion. But, you are only able to hide one item per game at a location that is a pickup for Fun Slots the agency.

This DLC includes new contracts for asset protection and security to the agency. Talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Once you have reached the marker for your mission be sure to identify a group upon arrival.
