Lightest Double Stroller

If you're looking for a light double-stroller, the folded size and weight are crucial aspects to take into consideration. Selecting a stroller that is easy to maneuver and compact when not when not in use makes it much easier to place into the trunk of your car and navigate through airport gates and foreign streets.

The most lightweight strollers have an easy, intuitive fold that lets them stand up on their own. This eases the burden on the body of the parent. Many also come with a wide variety of seating options and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus

Created for families that are on the move. Lightweight and compact, with the ability to fold in one hand. All-terrain wheels, front suspension and multi-position reclining seats allow children to weigh up to 50 lbs. Trays for parents and children with a large storage basket as well as three-tier canopy with peek-a-boo window for maximum sun protection.

The Cloud scored one of the lowest marks in our quality tests due to the fact that it has a weak, hard plastic seat and a design that feels dated. It's also costly compared to other lightweight strollers, so it's not the best option if you're looking for a low-cost option.

It's not the tiniest stroller, but it has enough features to make it worth a look. The swiveling wheels make it easy to navigate it on flat surfaces. It can also leap over curbs without much effort. The low handle of the Cloud is a problem, however; it's nearly at knee level and isn't adjustable. It's uncomfortable to push with your legs dangling in the air like that and it's also not helping that it lacks padding.

During our testing and testing, we discovered the Cloud to be easy to open and set up. It's a little more challenging to close, however. You need to slide a slider before you press a large white button to cause it to collapse. This can be frustrating especially if you're juggling kids while you do it.

The Cloud has a small double buggy, but deep storage basket that will be used to fit a medium-sized diaper bag. The basket is a bit small and you might have to store something inside to reach the back. The Cloud includes an adult and child tray with two cup holders each however, they're both too narrow to accommodate larger bottles or cups.

The Kolcraft brand has been in existence since 1946 and is a third generation, family-owned company. Their first products were diapers and crib pads however, they now make a wide range of baby items including highchairs and infant car seats, strollers and toys. The company is based in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is an extremely lightweight, minimalist double stroller that is great to travel with. It's light at 18lbs (lighter than some single double stroller strollers!) and it folds flat for easy transportation and storage. It also comes with independently reclined seats, large all-weather SPF 50 sun visors with large windows with peekaboos and under seat storage bags. The visors are adjustable to fit children of different heights. It also features an integrated parking brake with one step, and is Disney-size approved.

The swivel wheels on the Jeep are also awesome to maneuver over bumps and uneven surfaces. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats so your kids must be six months old and have solid neck control to be able to ride in the front seat. The stroller has a three-panel sun canopy and each seat comes with its own cupholder and snack tray.

Another incredibly lightweight side-by-side stroller is Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend. It's heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's amazingly narrow and slim (26.5 inches wide!) It's got a lot of exquisite details that make it ideal for travel. It is easy to fold, is very maneuverable and fits into airplane overhead compartments and trunks easily.

The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, similar to the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It's similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but has some key distinctions. It's also a bit more expensive, but it offers greater maneuverability and the largest sun canopy. It comes with a convenient carrying strap and can accommodate children weighing up to 44 pounds in one seat.

Summer 3D Pac CS+ for infants

If you're seeking a stroller which is light in weight but also packed with features, look no further than Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It's not just incredibly light at just 13 pounds and has plenty of storage in the form of child and parent cup holders, a child sippy-cup pocket and a parent storage pocket and much more. This stroller can also fit the car seat of your child and features a brake that can be used flip-flop. It's designed to grow with your child from a newborn stroller to an adult stroller by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children aged 6 months old and older.

The stroller is swivel-wheel only and has no locking capabilities which means it won't be the best choice for terrain that is steep or rocky. It maneuvers well on pavements, as well as other smooth surfaces, however, so it's still a great choice for most families.

This is among the most compact and lightweight double strollers with full-size features. It folds with one hand and put away in the garage or trunk. It can be used as a travel stoller, and is compatible with no additional adapters with most car seats.

Unlike many other side-by-side strollers this one Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is ideal for napping. Its recline feature is easy to use, however it's not really flat. For taller children, there may be a leg hanging in the reclined position. It also comes with a large canopy which we found to be more effective at blocking out the sun than other strollers in our best double strollers review.

The stroller is light enough to easily navigate through door frames, which was a major problem for us with other models we tried. It folds up quickly and its handlebars sit close to the ground for easy carrying. Its only flaw is its limited storage space, which is uncomfortable when filled with kid stuff.

Joovy is a family-owned business that creates original, functional and quality baby products.
