WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade item will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. It's also important to use crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the Best item upgrader gear you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
