World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage each time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrader way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance an Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item level upgrade, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is computed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items might require different upgrades than standard gear. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to bring every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost mentioned above.
